Competitive
Tournament readiness
Official expectations for seated play—format, etiquette, and how to stay calm under pressure.
Structure
- Swiss or round-robin pods feed into single-elimination brackets.
- Hands are usually played to 14 or 15 points; finals can extend to 21.
- Dealer rotation and seat assignments are enforced by staff.
Clock & pace
- Events announce how many minutes are allotted per match.
- When time is called, finish the current hand and tally immediately.
- Slow play warnings escalate to point deductions.
Conduct & etiquette
Keep tournaments fair, fun, and respectful.
- Arrive early so you can clarify house Hang Jack values.
- Signal intent with legal card play only; table talk is heavily restricted.
- Disputes go directly to the tournament director—never argue mid-hand.
Serious infractions (cheating, harassment, collusion) can result in disqualification or suspension from the All Fours Ultimate ladder.
